In 2024, she was named a finalist for the Norcop Prize in Song, and this year has been selected as a finalist in the Eckhardt-Gramatté National Music Competition, presenting an hour-long recital of contemporary Canadian repertoire.
Aemilia also brings a deep passion for modern design into her artistic practice. In 2023 she produced a short film titled Sovra il sento, in partnership with Manitoba Opera and vintage clothing boutique Swish Vintage. This year, she is partnering with Toronto-based fashion designer SampleGarments to create an hour-long contemporary recital featuring a wearable art look designed specifically for the performance.
Aemilia holds a masters degree from the University of Toronto. Current and previous teachers include Tracy Dahl, Steven Leigh, Elizabeth McDonald, Robert Uchida, Mel Braun, and Elizabeth Turnbull. Aemilia currently works at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.
